Dear All,

Hope you are all enjoying life in this beautiful city of ours

This is an update on our upcoming family event  

ISCC Connects - "Meet, Greet & Sangeet "

A fun filled evening for the entire family with dinner, games for adults and children -  Antakshari, Bollywood Quiz and Music

Prizes to the winners in games and Bollywood quiz.

Day and Date : Saturday, 13th May 2017
Venue  : St Christopher's Hall, 244 Avonhead Rd, Avonhead, Christchurch
Time : 5pm till 8pm

We will be providing dinner and we need the numbers confirmed for catering purposes. 
Entry is free for members ( please register for membership at this event) .

We will be giving a 20% discount on the membership at this event.
(discounted price will be : $20 for a family and $8 for individual )
Membership is important as only paid members get voting rights at the AGM. Members are given preference while choosing performances.

So bring your friends and family and please RSVP by 10th May.

Nepalese New Year Celebration Invitation 2074 B.S.

Dear All


It’s our honor and privilege to invite you on the occasion of Nepalese New year’s celebration program on Wednesday 13th of April.  Your presence will be highly appreciated and will make the event more valuable.

In addition to the New Year’s program, our various programs have marked a milestone on their journey.

  1. 10 years of being on Air of our weekly radio program “Namaste Nepal”
  2. 10 years since we published our first annual magazine “Namaste Nepal”
  3. 10 years of smooth running of our Nepali Language Class.


We will be acknowledging all the volunteers who have contributed their time and significant effort in making this happen.


We will be publishing our annual “Namaste Magazine” followed by musical and cultural performances and of course mouth-watering Nepalese dinner.


The program will commence from 7pm and will finish by doing a countdown at midnight and welcome Nepalese new year 2074 B.S.(Bikram Sambat ; abbreviated as B.S. or BS is an era used in Nepal, just like the Christian era started in 0 AD. The Bikram Samvat started in 58/57 BCE in southern and 57/56 BCE in northern systems of Hindu calendar. The Bikram Samvat calendar is 56.7 years ahead (in the count) of the solar Gregorian calendar.)

Culture Galore is on this Saturday
Kia Ora Dear Broadcasters!
Just wanted to let you know that the awesome CULTURE GALORE festival is on this Saturday
(weather permitting) at Ray Blank Park in Burnside. So bring your friends and family for a feast of food 
and music and dance from around the world!
Lots of fun activities to try too.
Starts at noon until 4pm. There’s parking on site and entry is free!
